Magpie is a notes app for people who want to leave Evernote without losing a decade of notes. It imports Evernote exports faithfully, attachments and all, and converts them into an open, portable package of HTML, JSON and the original files.

Search is fast and full-text, and it covers text pulled from attachments as well as the notes themselves. A browser clipper for Safari is planned.

Magpie is local-first. Your notes live in a folder you control, and if you want sync you put that folder in whatever synced storage you already use.
