Terms of business
A summary of how we contract. The full terms come with every proposal. Last updated 19 October 2026.
Who you contract with
Horizonware Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 06385512), registered office Apollo House, Hallam Way, Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool, FY4 5FS, United Kingdom. VAT number GB 310 5016 68.
How engagements are agreed
- Every engagement starts with a written proposal or statement of work, setting out the scope, deliverables, timescale and price.
- The proposal and our full terms of business together form the contract.
- Changes to scope are agreed in writing before the work changes.
- We decide how the work is carried out, and we may take on work for other clients at the same time.
Pricing
- Day rate: £450–£550 per day, ex VAT. Where an engagement sits in the range depends on the technologies involved and how closely the work matches our core skills.
- Fixed-price work: the price in the agreed proposal. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately.
- VAT is added to all prices at the prevailing rate.
- On-site travel and expenses are agreed per engagement.
Invoicing and payment
TODO(director): invoicing frequency (e.g. monthly in arrears, or milestones for fixed price) and payment terms.
Insurance
We hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.
Intellectual property and confidentiality
TODO(director): when ownership of deliverables passes to the client, and our confidentiality commitment.
Liability and ending an engagement
TODO(director): liability cap and notice period for ending an engagement.
